A full renovation involves many trades: building work, plumbing, electrics, joinery, flooring and finishes. At Morales we coordinate the whole process, so you don't have to deal with five different companies or chase anyone to keep the job moving.
We work on main homes and second homes on the Costa Brava: from flats in Palafrugell to detached houses in Begur and Empordà masias that need bringing up to date without losing their character.

Bathroom and kitchen renovations
Often a renovation starts with the bathroom or the kitchen. We replace baths with shower trays and renew tiling, sanitaryware and units; we build walk-in showers and built-in basins, fit microcement or large-format finishes, and renew the hidden plumbing and wiring so there are no surprises a few months later.
How we work
First we visit the property and listen to what you need. Then we give you a detailed, itemised quote with agreed timescales and materials. During the work you have one contact person and, when we finish, we hand over the house clean and ready to live in.
If it's a second home, we can keep you updated with progress photos so you don't need to travel.

It depends on the size, the condition of the property and the finishes you choose, which is why we don't give fixed prices without seeing the house. After the visit we send you a detailed, itemised quote, so you know exactly what each amount covers.
How long does a full renovation take?
A bathroom or kitchen renovation is usually done in a few weeks; a whole house can take several months, depending on its size. Before we start we agree a phased schedule with you.
Do I need a permit to renovate my house in Spain?
Interior work that doesn't affect the structure or façade is usually covered by a prior notification to the town hall; work affecting the structure, façade or volume needs a building licence. Before starting we check with you which procedure your project needs in Begur, Palafrugell, Mont-ras or the relevant municipality.
Do you work for owners who live abroad?
Yes. Many of our projects are in second homes. We can arrange the site visit, email you the quote and keep you up to date on progress via WhatsApp while you're away.
