Terracotta, the floor of the Empordà
Terracotta tiles are the traditional flooring of Empordà houses and masias. We lay them indoors and outdoors, in herringbone or rectangular format, and we also restore old floors: cleaning, replacing broken pieces and final sealing.
Travertine and natural stone for outdoors
Travertine is one of the most popular materials for terraces and pool surrounds on the Costa Brava, thanks to its warm look and how well it copes with the sun. We lay travertine, limestone and other natural stones in regular or random (opus) patterns, taking care with joints and falls so water drains away.
Large-format and porcelain tiles
For contemporary interiors we lay large-format porcelain, even 120x120 cm tiles, with precise levelling and minimal joints. Also matching stairs, skirtings and wall cladding.

Frequently asked questions
What's the best outdoor flooring near the sea?
For terraces and pool surrounds we recommend non-slip materials that resist salt and sun: travertine, treated natural stone, outdoor terracotta or technical porcelain. We advise you according to the use and orientation of each space.
Can an old terracotta floor be restored?
Yes. If the base is sound, the tiles are cleaned, broken ones are replaced with reclaimed or similar-looking terracotta and a protective treatment is applied. If it has to be lifted, we reuse as many original tiles as possible.
