Terrace and pool in Aiguablava, Begur

Swimming pool construction and renovation on the Costa Brava

We build new concrete swimming pools and renovate existing ones in Begur, Palafrugell, Mont-ras and the Baix Empordà: structure, waterproofing, tiling, coping and pool surround.

Made-to-measure concrete pools

A concrete pool is built to suit the plot and the house: rectangular, with built-in steps, with a spa area or an infinity edge facing the view. On the Costa Brava many plots are sloping, with pine trees and rock, so every pool has to be designed around access, orientation and views.

We handle the structural work, the pool shell, waterproofing, tiling and the stone or porcelain finishing, and we coordinate the filtration system and installations.

Pool renovation

  • Replacing old pool mosaic (gresite) or switching to porcelain tiles
  • Leak repair and waterproofing of the pool shell
  • New coping in natural stone, travertine or terracotta
  • Pool surround in travertine, stone or non-slip porcelain
  • Built-in steps and benches, spa areas
  • Plant room walls and housings for automatic pool covers

Materials that stand up to sun and salt

Sun, salt and hard water take their toll on finishes. That's why we use proven materials: mosaic or porcelain tiles made for pools, treated natural stone for the coping and non-slip paving around it. Before you decide, we show you samples and real projects.

Infinity pools and pools with a spa

Infinity pools and raised spa areas, like the pool with an integrated hot tub we built in the garden of a home on the Costa Brava, need careful calculation of levels, overflow channels and balance tank. We plan them from the outset together with the terrace, the stone pool surround and the waterproofing of the surrounding area.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to build a swimming pool in Spain?

The price depends mainly on size, access for machinery, the type of ground and the finishes (mosaic, porcelain, stone). An 8x4 pool doesn't cost the same on a flat plot as on a rocky hillside. After visiting the plot we give you a detailed quote.

Can old pool mosaic be replaced with porcelain tiles without building a new pool?

Yes, it's one of the renovations we do most often. The pool is emptied, the surface is prepared, the waterproofing is checked and the new finish is laid. That completely renews the look of the pool without touching the structure.

When is the best time to renovate a pool?

Ideally between autumn and spring, so it's ready before summer. If the pool is losing water, it's best to have it checked as soon as possible to avoid damage to the ground or the house.

Do you also do the terrace and garden around the pool?

Yes. We build pool surrounds, terraces, pergolas and built-in benches, outdoor steps and stone walls, so the whole outdoor area is handled by the same team.
